[In preparation...] The preferred method is making raid volumes on our ATABEAST system. Those will be written to directly from the Sarnoff cameras, reducing the amount of over-night backups and can also handle very large data volumes. (The drawback is of course that you need a similar system (not very cheap) at your home institute.)
